For this thought, Pastor Prince talks about us starting our day with a confident expectation of good. No matter what you are facing in your life, or what you want to happen that seems so far away, we need to start our days with the confident expectation of good. We do this by resting in the Lord Jesus Christ and trusting Him every day. We need to trust that He has got everything under control and the battle is His.
We need to start our days settled on victory ground, casting our cares to Christ, and trusting in His love for us.
The Lord Jesus is our great ‘I Am,’ He is the Alpha and Omega, the first & last, the beginning and the end. In Him, all things are found, and He is over all (Colossians 1). So if He doesn’t know what is best for you, then who does?
And not only does He know what is best for you, but He cares for you and has instructed you not to worry.
30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption1 Corinthians 1
In the verse above, which is taken from a passage of scripture that teaches us to glory in God, and not in our own abilities, we learn that Christ is our wisdom, our righteousness, our sanctification, and our redemption. When we worry, we are focusing on the demand, the situation and our own ability instead of focusing on Christ. When we put what He already suffered to provide for us on our own shoulders, its almost as if we want to get the glory for ourselves. If the sentence has already been paid, why are we trying to pay it?
Instead, we need to rest in Him and cast all our cares into His hands. And as we go about our day, we need to walk and do all we do coming from the revelation that He is our wisdom for every need and every decision we need to make. We need to go about our day trusting that He is our redemption from every sickness and every challenge we may be facing.
If you are sick, start your day knowing that by His stripes you are healed, and He is the Lord your God who heals you.
If you need or want something, believe and rest in Him because He is your shephard, and He provides all your needs exceedingly abundantly above what you could ever ask or think.
And if you have an important decision to make, know and believe that you have the Holy Spirit in you, teaching you all things and bringing to remembrance all that Jesus has taught you, and that Christ Himself is your wisdom from God.
Let go and let God, start you day resting in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Until next time-
