Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares for you watchfully.1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your cares, and worries unto Jesus for He cares for you. The Lord loves you with an everlasting love. And when you know how much He loves you, and His promise to fight for you, you should be able to let go of all things into His hands. In John 15, the Lord Jesus tells us that without Him, we can do nothing.
We cannot, but He can.
I cannot, but He can
As human beings, we have this feeling that we need to fix things, otherwise all hell will break loose. And we feel this way even when faced with situations where we feel hopeless, and we are at the end of our rope. Well, at least I have felt this way over the years in my life, and have spent time worrying over things I cannot fix.
The reality is that worry cannot make anything better, instead, I have learned from Pastor Prince that worrying usually constricts God’s supply in our lives. I have learned from his teaching that grace flows in the worry-free areas of our lives. I talked about this in this blog post, Receive wave after wave of His grace.
But back to our verse.
When you give the problem to Christ, you need to let go of everything into His hands. That’s means you need to stop focusing on it and focus on Christ instead. We need to be more occupied with Jesus Christ instead of being occupied with our problem. Instead of being demand focused, we need to be supply focused. This means looking to Jesus for His grace and trusting Him as your provider. In this article, Experience God’s constant supply in your life, Pastor Prince how worry can choke His supply in your life.
47 Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”1 Samuel 17
The battle is the Lord’s. And as children of God, we need to let go and let Him fight our battles. The world may need to defend themselves, but need to stop backseat driving, and let Him take the wheel.
15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”2 Chronicles 20:15
The Lord has a plan for us, plans not to harm us but to give us a hope and a future. And the Lord Jesus Christ has become unto us wisdom from God, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. And in Him, all things are ours.
17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,Isaiah 48
The Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
Who teaches you to profit,
Who leads you by the way you should go.
Cast it all to Him, let go and let Him. Believe that He loves you, and wants to take care of you. This brings us back to the issue of right believing in His love for you. When you believe right, you will know that you can let go and trust in Him to make all things work together for your good.
14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
